In its third year, the Marin Triathlon and Kids' Triathlon Weekend is continuing its tradition of being one of the world's most environmentally conscious triathlons, while raising funds to benefit Team in Training/Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and Team Winter/The Prostate Cancer Foundation. Both the Kids' Triathlon and the Marin Triathlon will take place at McNear's Beach County Park in San Rafael, California.
The Marin Triathlon, an Olympic distance event, offers a refreshing 1.5K swim in San Pablo Bay; followed by a challenging 22 mile bike course through China Camp State Park; concluded by a 10K out and back run course along the waters of San Pablo Bay.
The Kids' Triathlon is a safe, enclosed course comprised of a lifeguard monitored pool swim (for kids 6 years and under) or short distance bay swim (kids 7-15 years old); a .5 to 3 mile bike course; and a .25 to 1.5 mile run on a paved path along San Pablo Bay.
Brought to you by the Sustainable Sports Foundation, Marin Triathlon and Kids' Triathlon Weekend attracts first-time racers, seasoned triathletes, relay teams and professional athletes from across the globe. With the courses' connection to the natural landscape and commitment to sustainability, the Marin Triathlon and Kids' Triathlon events are magnificently scenic, spectator friendly, and gentle on the environment. The events are also Carbon Neutral and Zero Waste. We hope you will join us for this year's races, either as a race entrant, cheerleader, volunteer, or sponsor! Register now!
